Hollywood/Japanese Actor Shin Koyamada’s Latest Fundraiser EffortsTo Benefit Japanese Quake and Alabama Tornado Victims
This red carpet fashion show and live auction event was hosted by the Shin Koyamada Foundation and Precostore to benefit the Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami victims, as well as Alabama Tornado victims. Mr. Shin Koyamada was present as the guest of honour. Dr. Neeta Kohli-Dang, MD served as emcee, and encouraged attendees “to join together as one in bringing peace and hope to those devastated by the recent natural disasters.”
Abused Women Charity Benefit
Over $62,000 was raised in a Charity Show for the benefit of Abused Women in April 2011. This Charity assists and empowers women living in abusive situations who desperately need a helping hand and support of the community. Dr. Neeta Kohli-Dang, MD served as emcee.
Awards & Recognitions
Physician Supporter of the Year (NANPA)
In 2015, Dr. Neeta Kohli-Dang was awarded Physician Supporter of the Year Award by the North Alabama Nurse Practitioner Association (NANPA) in recognition of her outstanding support for Nurse Practitioners in the Tennessee Valley area. Dr. Neeta Kohli-Dang has lectured at the North Alabama Nurse Practitioner Symposium to an audience of 300 Nurse Practitioners on Ear, Nose, and Throat conditions for two consecutive years.
Nomination for International Health Professional of the Year
Dr. Neeta Kohl-Dang was nominated for the International Health Professional of the Year in 2004.
Compassionate Doctor Recognition
Compassionate Doctor Certification is part of ‘Patients’ Choice’ where patients rate and vote for their favorite doctors. Patients have expressed their esteemed opinion of this doctor’s bedside manner, identifying her as one of America’s Most Compassionate Doctors.
Dr. Neeta Kohl-Dang was awarded the Silverman Prize Presented by Professor Cantrell, University of Virginia in 1985. (Robert Cantrell, M.D. – Fitz-Hugh Professor and Chairman Department of Oncology-Head and Neck Surgery, University of Virginia School of Medicine, 1977-1996)
Physicians Recognition Award
Dr. Neeta Kohl-Dang was awarded the American Medical Association and Medical Association of State of Alabama Physicians Recognition Award in 1999 and 2004.
Dr. Neeta Kohl-Dang was an honors graduate at the University of Toronto Medical College.
Crestwood Medical Center
- BOARD OF TRUSTEES at Crestwood Hospital – 2003-2008.
Quality of Care and service excellence are critical elements of the Board Trustees. During Dr. Kohli-Dang’s tenure, the hospital experienced growth of about 15%. As well, significant building projects during this period included expansion of the Out Patient Lobby, addition of five Operating Rooms, the new Crestwood Women’s Centre, Emergency and Elective Angioplasty, and a 30 bed addition to the hospital.
